Study of the effects on employment of public aid to renewable energy sources
The Study of the Effects on Unemployment of Public Aid to Reneawable Energy Sources is important for several reasons. Mainly, the Spanish experience is considered a leading example to be followed by many policy advocates and politicians. This study presents, for the first time, a critical analysis of the current performance and impact that this policy has made. Most important, it demonstrates that Spanish/EU-style “green jobs” policy clearly hinders Spains’s way out of the current economic crisis by the time US politicians consider that adopting such a scheme will help them leave their crisis behind.
